Honor the Irish with DRY’s St. Patrick’s Day Cocktail

St. Patrick’s Day is nearly here, which means it’s time to prepare ourselves for massive levels of beer consumption, corned beef, the color green, annoying pinches, and general debauchery.

But, did you know that St. Patrick’s Day was originally recognized as a holy holiday, during which no alcohol was allowed? According to National Geographic, it wasn’t until Irish-American immigrants started celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in the US in the 18th century that it became acceptable to drink on March 17th. As you well know, today’s St. Pat’s Day festivities range from extremely traditional, to wtf. So we think the best ways to celebrate still might be in front of us!

We love a Guinness just as much as the next person (if not more), but this year, we conjured up a delicious and beautiful St. Patrick’s Day cocktail: The DRY Irish Martini. The smooth texture of Bailey’s Irish cream mixed with the bubbles in Vanilla Bean DRY give this drink a magical sparkle that goes down all too easy!

Here’s what you’ll need:

Start by shaking the Baileys and Irish Whiskey with ice. Strain and pour this velvety mixture into your favorite martini glass and top with 2 oz. of Vanilla Bean DRY. Stir lightly, then drink up! This cocktail pairs perfectly with an Irish scone, your favorite Irish tunes, and a classy evening in with friends.
